Concrete Staining and Engraving

TRANSFORMING EXISTING CONCRETE

When existing concrete is stained and engraved, an amazing transformation takes place.  Concrete Rescue Staining and Engraving

Concrete staining and engraving can be done indoors or out, for commercial or residential customers.  The process includes changing the color of concrete and then the  pattern is actually engraved and cut into the hard concrete.  With this process, concrete of any age can be altered into thousands of patterns and designs.  Hundreds of borders and custom logos can be engraved in concrete.  Existing concrete can look like red brick, flagstone, slate or any number of patterns.  The possibilities are virtually unlimited.

Concrete engraving is NOT a stamping process.  It does not use polymer overlay materials or require tear out and re-pour of concrete.   We use ½” templates, not stencils, to engrave, cut or score a pattern or design into existing concrete.  The process is cut “IN” the concrete, not placed “ON” the concrete, and can be done indoors or out, for commercial or residential customers.

CHOOSE A STAIN – CHOOSE A COLOR – CHOOSE A SEALER

We use two types of stain depending upon the environment, traffic levels, and desired appearance.  We will use either a Reactive Acid Chemical Stain (RAC stain) or a Water Reducible Concentrate Stain (WRC stain).  We then choose the sealer best suited for the previously mentioned criteria.  When a RAC stain is used the sealer choice has a dramatic influence on the final color outcome and gloss.   The sealer choice, when using a WRD stain has only a minimal effect on the final color outcome.  The sealer choice does, however, affect the final gloss of the surface.  We then choose the color dilution ratio based on the sealer chosen.  We will work with you to select the appropriate mix of stains, color and sealers for the job.
